Villefranche-sur-Mer

Villefranche-sur-Mer is an incredibly picturesque and charming old fishing village located between Cap Ferrat and Cap Nice, only 4 km from the harbour of Nice. When the village belonged to Italy, it was called Villafranca. Many other small and beautiful villages are nearby, such as Eze and La Turbie. The bay of Villefranche has been voted one of the five most beautiful bays in the world. This is easily recognized when you arrive here.

Villefranche-sur-Mer, also called “the heart of the Riviera”, offers many good restaurants, cafes, art studios and many boutiques with souvenirs and other things on display. The markets in the village are not to be missed.

If you want to be active, you can hike in the hills and mountains or around Cap Ferrat. Why not rent a bike and ride up in the mountains or join one of the diving clubs for snorkelling or scuba diving? Or, for that matter, relax on the long sandy beach and enjoy life.

If you like skiing, during winter, you can reach Limone in Italy and Isola 2000 in France, just a 1.5-hour drive from Villefranche.
