Nice

Nice, also called Nice La Belle, is the centre of the French Riviera. The city is amazingly beautiful and offers pretty much anything you can ask for. The city’s seaside promenade, Promenade des Anglais, has attracted those seeking relaxation as well as those seeking inspiration. The city has attracted and inspired many of our most famous painters, such as Marc Chagall and Henri Matisse.

The climate and the landscape are still the main reasons why visitors come to Nice. Nice is the second most visited place in France after Paris. More than 4 million tourists come every year. The city has a university, business districts, and many cultural facilities, such as museums, a national theatre, an opera house, concert halls and casinos.

You should visit the famous antique, food and flower markets on Cours Saleya in the Old Town, walk the beautiful seaside promenade named Promenade des Anglais alongside the Mediterranean Sea and enjoy the amazing food offered by the city’s many restaurants.

The hill, La Colline du Château, divides the Old Town from the harbour. Walk up the hill and enjoy the magnificent view over the city and the Baie des Anges (Bay of Angels). Visit Rue Bonaparte for the younger nightlife, or just sit and relax on one of the many famous blue chairs by the sea. Many events take place in Nice, such as carnivals and the jazz festival.
