Welcome to this bright, harmonious and well-planned apartment in a quiet, well-kept residence in Le Cannet, just above Cannes. The apartment looks out over a peaceful lake and the hills beyond. Large carp keep the water clear, and the lake is home to a rich birdlife, including a resident heron and plenty of ducks.
The apartment faces west, so it gets beautiful light all day and some truly magical sunsets in the evening. There are two separate balconies. One has a dining table for long, relaxed meals outdoors, and the other has comfortable lounge chairs, perfect for an evening drink as the sun goes down.
The apartment sleeps up to four guests in two calm bedrooms with comfortable beds. The master bedroom with AC opens directly onto the dining balcony, perfect for an alfresco breakfast. The guest bedroom has an interior window onto the living room. The living room has AC that also cools the guest bedroom. Both bedrooms have 2 x 90 cm beds.
The kitchen has a French feel and is fully equipped, including a dishwasher. Modern, quiet air conditioning keeps the temperature pleasant day and night, and there is a washing machine with a dryer function. The bathroom has a separate toilet, which makes mornings easy when you travel as a family or with friends.
Guests have free access to the residence’s facilities: a lovely pool area, a tennis court, a pétanque court and a playground for younger guests. If you arrive by car, a garage is included.
Location
Everything you need for daily life is within walking distance. The nearest bakery is about 300 m away, with a restaurant and a pharmacy at the same spot. The Centre Mimosas shopping area is about 600 m away and has an Intermarché supermarket, a pharmacy, a bakery, a butcher, a post office and a bank.
Palm Bus line 10 stops just outside the residence and runs straight down to central Cannes. Other lines go to La Bocca and Vieux Cannet. If you feel like stretching your legs, Cannes is a pleasant walk of about 3.5 km. There you will find the beaches, the Croisette, the Palais des Festivals, the old quarter of Le Suquet, Marché Forville, the Old Port and the shops along Rue d’Antibes. From the harbour, ferries go to the Lérins Islands: Île Sainte-Marguerite has lovely swimming spots, and on Île Saint-Honorat you can visit the monastery and its vineyard.
Nature lovers will enjoy the neighborhood. The nearest entrance to the Croix des Gardes nature park is no more than 300 m away. Its walking and running trails have panoramic views over the Bay of Cannes and can take you on foot all the way down to Cannes or to the market in La Bocca. From early January to early March, the hills turn yellow with blooming mimosa. Closer still is the Gour de Coule woodland in Le Cannet, with shaded paths, a fitness trail and a playground. A perfect morning starts with coffee and a croissant at the bakery café at the end of the street, followed by a loop through Gour de Coule. The whole walk is about 2 km.
For a quieter evening, head up to the old village of Le Cannet, which has charming restaurants on the old square, wonderful views and the Musée Bonnard. Mougins’ old village, famous for its art, is about a 10-minute drive away. For calmer beaches and golf, go to Mandelieu-La Napoule with its château and the beautiful Cannes Old Course.
